Heart Health Awareness

February 13th, 2018    Happy Valentines Day!

February is our heart health awareness month. We are always working with patients on their road to optimal health and the heart is obviously one of the more important things to take care of. Whether you know it or not, we are helping your heart work better no matter what we are treating. Yes, there are specific supplements designed to help your heart work better, but there are a lot of other things that do this as well. Helping all your other systems work efficiently will take the workload off the heart, supplementing any vitamin or mineral that helps your muscles will also help, as your heart is a muscle.

Of course, the most important thing is chiropractic care! When you get adjusted, we are improving the nerve communication all throughout your body to improve function. The nerves that control your heart start in your neck and upper back, so to have a healthy heart, we have to reduce the interference of the nerves in these areas. Diet, exercise, supplements, and chiropractic care are essential in having your heart work at its best and to have your whole body continue its road to optimal health. Ask today about specific options for you and your heart health!

The world of healthcare is always evolving, and we are always changing how we help you. I have been attending more seminars than ever learning and perfecting new techniques and protocols to help care for you more efficiently and effectively. We always have to stay on our toes- especially through the long winters in Minnesota. As you may have noticed, we have a very bad cold and flu season in full force. Make sure you are doing all you can to boost your immune system and continue to check your programs and get adjusted regularly! We are always flexible and will do our best to care for you if you are dealing with an acute issue.

Lastly, as we continue evolving our office into the go-to location for all your natural healthcare needs, you may have noticed a big change… Our new office manager, Niki, is now here full time and is eager to learn how she can help your experience here at OHZ. Please welcome her and be patient as she learns all the ins and outs of all the things that we do here. We are very happy to have her!  As always, if you have any other suggestions for us, please don’t hesitate to let us know; our goal is to always serve you better!

   Yours in health,

         Dr. J.
